This week, the CNN Underscored deals team is hunkered down covering the best 4th of July sales. As busy as we are ensuring our readers can save money through the holiday weekend, there were too many exciting product launches this week for me to ignore, so I’m tapping in to share my favorite product drops from the last seven days while you kick back and relax for the holiday.
This week, I take a hands-on look at the Insta360 Luna Ultra to see if it’s destined to be the best new travel camera and recap an early demo with the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 game, Splatoon Raiders. I also check into what’s actually new with the Hoka Clifton 11 and detail everything you need to know about the upcoming Lego Olivia Rodrigo sets. All that and more below.
For years now, DJI made one of the best portable video cameras. No matter where you traveled on vacation, spotting one of the company’s Osmo Pocket series cameras alongside the rest of your sightseeing is an inevitability. Aside from smartphones snapping pictures and videos, it’s one of the closest things to the popularity of point-and-shoots in the 2000s. Now Insta360 is ready to try its own hand at the stabilized video camera game with the launch of its new Luna Ultra camera. The brand has quietly been becoming one of the biggest and best companies in the camera space, and has won me over quite a few times over the past few years with its reliable, and often times, affordable alternatives to GoPro and DJI. So when I saw the launch of Luna Ultra, I knew I had to try one for myself.
