The 24th edition of agricultural trade fair - Agri Intex 2026 - to be organised by the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) from July 9 to 13 at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex will see participants from 16 States and also from Italy.The exhibition will showcase advancements in agriculture, horticulture, dairy and poultry, and food processing sectors.The 660 stalls by more than 450 participants at the expo will occupy 1.5 lakh sq.ft in seven halls at the Complex and have outdoor display of machinery, nurseries, and live animals. The event will have participants from 16 States, including Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra.There will be three stalls from Italian companies that make valves and digital technologies for farming. Malaysian, Japanese and American companies are also taking part this year through their business partners.The animal pavilion will showcase native Indian breeds of cows, bulls and goats. The Dhanvantri Institute of Medical Education and Research (DIMER) will create awareness among the farmers on managing snake bites.The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Coimbatore, will organise Uzhave Thalai 8.0 on July 10 with focus on agri tourism, automation and intelligence, vertical farming, and cocoa development.The Young Indians and Startup Singam will conduct on July 11 “Rural Innovators Pitch”, a knowledge-sharing workshop on opportunities in agri business, government schemes and subsidies, funding and financial support available for agri entrepreneurs, and scaling rural enterprisesThe Tamil Nadu Bio Dynamic Association of India will conduct a programme on July 12 on biodynamic farming.M. Manickam, Chairman and Managing Director, Sakthi Sugars Ltd., will inaugurate the expo that will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all days. Visitors can register on visitor.codissia.com and the entry fee for general visitors is ₹50 a person. For farmers with valid identity proof, there will be no entry fee.
