Some Alko shops may now be open every day of the week, including Sundays and public holidays, from 9am to 9pm.Parliament recently approved an amendment to the Alcohol Act, with its first phase taking effect this weekend.Alko is introducing extended Saturday evening opening hours at 108 stores. Thirty-five of these will also be open on Sundays.Many of these are in and around the major southern cities, including four in Helsinki and three in Espoo. The Rovaniemi shop is the only one to open in northern Finland for now. Orders may be delivered to your home or to a pickup point every day of the year between 9am and 9pm.The recipient of the delivery must prove their age. The purchaser must also be present at the time of receipt and must not be heavily intoxicated.
