The body of a 17-year-old girl, who was reported missing on June 30, was taken out from a well in an agriculture field in Budalur area on Friday.According to the police, passersby noticed the body floating in the well on Friday morning and alerted the police. The police sent the body to the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.The body was identified as that of daughter of Seethalakshmi of Vendaiyampatti near Budalur. Ms. Seethalakshmi had lodged a missing person complaint with the police on July 1 stating that her daughter did not return from school on June 30. Published - July 03, 2026 06:32 pm IST
