That Saturday was the first day of SA's final voter registration weekend ahead of the local government elections set for November 4 2026.
"The SA Police Service confirms the arrest of a suspect in connection with the murder of Ward Councillor Sicelo Mleve," police spokeswoman Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said.
