He further alleged that although the case had been pending for months, the defendants were not served with the court documents until the end of June.

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State, has adjourned until September 23, 2026, the case filed by Alpha-Beta Consulting LLP, a firm long linked to President Bola Tinubu, against its five former employees over reports alleging corruption within the firm.

The matter was adjourned on Thursday, July 2, 2026, after proceedings in court, amid claims by the defendants that prosecutors attempted to secure their remand despite delays in serving them with court processes.

Speaking to SaharaReporters after the court session, the Media Officer of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Lagos Branch, Segun Oluwasanmi, who is one of the defendants, accused the prosecution of attempting to ambush the defendants.

“The judge discovered that they were trying to ambush me into remand,” Oluwasanmi told SaharaReporters.
