The Election Commission of India achieved 11.71% progress in the distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Dakshina Kannada district over the three days since the exercise began on June 30.The progress in the digitisation of enumeration forms during the same period in the district stood at 0.33%, according to a release issued by H.V. Darshan, the District Election Officer (DEO).Of the 18,03,766 voters in the district, enumeration forms were distributed to 2,11,200 voters till July 2. The number of forms digitised stood at 5,945.The district has 1,876 polling booths.The highest number of forms, 31,795, were distributed in Moodbidri Assembly constituency, while the lowest, 23,076, were distributed in Puttur Assembly segment.The highest number of forms, 2,441, were digitised in Belthangady constituency, while the lowest, 267, were digitised in Mangaluru North Assembly segment, the release said.10.12% progress in Udupi districtUdupi district achieved 10.12% progress in the distribution of forms, while the progress in the digitisation of forms till Thursday stood at 0.82%.Of the 10,63,876 forms printed, 1,07,614 were distributed and 8,703 were digitised, a release from Udupi DEO T.K. Swaroopa said.The Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) is being carried out systematically in the district, and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are visiting houses, she said.Each BLO has distributed an average of 97 forms, Ms. Swaroopa said.She said 4,354 forms have been mapped as ‘Self’ and 3,789 as ‘Progeny’, while 535 enumeration forms have been submitted directly online by voters.The door-to-door enumeration process and digitisation will be completed on July 29, 2026. To maintain the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll, the district administration has requested people to cooperate with the BLOs during their door-to-door visits.For the welfare and convenience of BLOs, the government has provided the facility of On Other Duty (OOD), to mark their daily attendance, using the mobile application ‘Kartavya’.Officers and staff on field duty need not physically attend their offices solely to mark attendance, as they can do so using the OOD option on the app. The Chief Electoral Officer has directed all BLOs to avail of this facility, she said.
