Teacher Eligibility Test for serving teachers would be held in Virudhunagar on July 4 and 5. In a statement, Virudhunagar Collector, N.O. Sukhaputra, said that the first paper would be held on Saturday in seven centres and the second paper would be held in 14 centres on Sunday.The examination is being conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board.A total of 1,933 candidates, including 49 differently-abled persons and six candidates, assisted by scribes would appear for the first paper.The statement added that 3,789 candidates, 87 differently-abled persons and 14 scribes would appear for the second paper.While the test would be conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., an additional one hour time would be given for the scribes.All basic amenities would be provided at the examination centres, the Collector said.
