President Jacob Zuma pictured in India with Ajay Gupta and spiritual leaders
Bheki Mtolo, former KZN ANC provincial secretary, has called for a reassessment of the benefits and privileges that were accorded to Jacob Zuma as a former head of state following his meeting with a fugitive, Ajay Gupta.
Zuma was recently seen at a Hindu temple in Haridwar, northern India, alongside Ajay, one of the Gupta brothers accused of playing a central role in South Africa’s state capture scandal.
Ajay, together with his brothers Atul and Rajesh, fled South Africa to their native country of Dubai after being sought by local police for corruption allegations relating to state capture, and several attempts to extradite them have not been successful.
In his weekly TikTok podcast, Mtolo’s Thoughts, posted on Wednesday, Mtolo blasted Zuma and called on the National Assembly to debate his action and take decisive measures against him.
