Newly-appointed Social Development Minister Dina Pule to address the irregular expenditure incurred during the term of her predecessor Sisisi Tolashe.

Newly-appointed Social Development Minister Dina Pule has a task at hand to facilitate a process to recover irregular expenditure arising from the appointment of former minister Sisisi Tolashe’s private and appointment secretary and acting chief of staff Leside Mabiletja.

This after the Public Service Commission directed that acting Social Development Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga should recover the irregular expenditure emanating from the fraud committed by Mabiletja when she was appointed by former director-general (DG) Peter Netshipale.

This was revealed by Public Service and Administration Minister Mzamo Buthelezi on Wednesday when he was responding to parliamentary questions by DA MP Nazley Sharif.

The PSC had conducted an investigation on its accord after reports surfaced, alleging irregular appointment of Mabiletja in the Ministry of Social Development.
