New extraordinary check at Zen 2 in Palermo. The Carabinieri of the San Filippo Neri station along with colleagues from the Palermo-Villagrazia canine unit have reported a father and son and seized weapons and drugs. The two suspects are a 59-year-old man and an 18-year-old young man, both from Palermo, father and son, accused of money laundering and threatening a public official.
In a garage used by the two suspects, a toy gun without a red tip with the magazine inserted was found hidden behind some wooden boards. The vehicle in their possession also had a forged chassis. During the search, the son attempted to flee in the car but was stopped and reported for driving without a license with repeated violations.
In one of the basements on Rocky Marciano Street, the Carabinieri found a 9mm semi-automatic pistol complete with a magazine containing 5 bullets and another 20 cartridges of the same caliber. Along with the weapon, 57 doses of hashish and 14 of cocaine were found.
