The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in Defense Forces units the domestically produced "Talion" unmanned aerial system.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense stated this on its website.

"The main area of application of the complex is its use as a kamikaze aircraft to intercept enemy unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement said.

The UAV can be controlled by an operator in both manual and semi-automatic modes.

The Defense Ministry noted that in addition to performing air defense tasks ("short-range air defense"), "Talion" can also be effectively used to strike ground targets and for other tactical tasks in the role of a strike drone, which makes its functionality more versatile.
