Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has commended Air Peace for evacuating 533 stranded Nigerians from South Africa, describing the humanitarian mission as “patriotism in action.”

The senator, who represents Kogi Central, said the airline’s intervention demonstrated that corporate leadership goes beyond profit-making to serving humanity.

Air Peace on Tuesday completed its second evacuation flight from South Africa, bringing home 271 Nigerians aboard a Boeing 777-200 aircraft in partnership with the Federal Government.

With the latest operation, the airline has evacuated a total of 533 Nigerians in two missions. Air Peace said the exercise marked its 16th humanitarian intervention.
