CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The municipal government of Lubang in Occidental Mindoro has imposed a “no sail policy” for all motorized bancas starting July 1, citing rough sea brought about by a low pressure area.
In Memorandum No. 013, Series of 2026, all motorized bancas are prohibited from venturing into the sea until further notice to ensure the safety of fisherfolk, sea travelers and boat operators.

The order was signed by Mayor Michael L. Orayani, who also chairs the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC).FEATURED STORIES
