Milk agents attached to the Coimbatore District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union (Aavin) staged a demonstration at the Aavin office in R.S. Puram on Tuesday, (June 30, 2026), against the implementation of a new mobile application and other operational issues.The agents alleged that the new system involved deductions from their commission and had led to issues related to cardholders and milk distribution.According to the agents, they had submitted representations to the Aavin administration and the Coimbatore District Collector over the past month, but no action had been taken.The agents said the protest was organised against the implementation of the new procedures from Tuesday, and demanded that the issues be resolved before the new system is enforced.
