Suspended KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Leseja Senona has resigned with immediate effect.
Senona has been testifying at the Madlanga Commission in recent weeks over the missing R200million cocaine from the Hawks offices in Port Shepstone.
He also raised controversy over his links to alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala, whom he said he first met at his wedding.
His resignation decision centres around the rejection of his retirement notice.
