The asset confiscation case against Seyed Javad Seyedi, a former political prisoner, has entered the enforcement stage. With the initiation of this process, his late father’s family home now faces imminent confiscation. The ruling was issued based on Article 49 of the Constitution and is linked to the case of his father, Hossein Seyedi, a political prisoner executed during the 1980s.
According to information published by HRANA, Seyed Javad Seyedi’s case has been referred to Branch 1 of the Special Criminal Enforcement Bureau for Article 49 of the Constitution in Tehran, and he has been officially notified. With the case entering the execution phase, the process to confiscate his inherited share of the family home has commenced.
Previously, Branch 6 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court had approved a request by the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) to confiscate Seyed Javad Seyedi’s share of the inheritance. The court’s verdict specified that the decision was made based on the prior conviction of his father, Hossein Seyedi, who was executed as a political prisoner in the 1980s.
In the same ruling, the court rejected EIKO’s request to confiscate the assets of two other heirs, Azam Sadat Seyedi and Ashraf Seyedi, stating that there was no evidence linking them to the case.
