A goldfish named Swimbappe, after France captain Kylian Mbappé, is predicting World Cup results in Toronto with a 67 per cent accuracy rate.

The oranda goldfish lives in a tank fitted with a mini football pitch, drawing crowds who gather to watch his predictions unfold.

Swimbappe correctly predicted Senegal's 5-0 victory over Iraq and France's 4-1 win over Norway on the same day.

The fish follows in the tradition of animal sporting predictors, most notably Paul the Octopus, who gained global fame at the 2010 World Cup.
