Ahead of the President of India Droupdadi Murmu’s visit beautification works underway along Beach Road in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place ahead of the President of India Droupdadi Murmu’s visit to participate in Central Tribal University’s first convocation on June 30. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, are also scheduled to attend the programme along with State Education Minister Nara Lokesh.As part of the security bandobast, police personnel have been stationed at the Beach Road, Port Road between INS Dega to Convent Junction and important junctions. Home Minister V Anitha personally oversaw the arrangements along with Andhra Pradesh TDP president Palla Srinivasa Rao and Commissioner of Police, Shankabratha Bagchi. The Minister reviewed the preparations made by the district administration and police department, and held detailed discussions to ensure the event is conducted flawlessly and in strict accordance with protocol.Ms. Anitha also reviewed the stage infrastructure, security deployment, protocol implementation, seating arrangements for dignitaries, vehicle movement and parking, traffic regulation, drinking water facilities, power supply, medical support, fire safety mechanisms and emergency response systems.She stressed that there should be no room for lapses in an event of such constitutional significance, and instructed all departments to function in close coordination and uphold the highest standards of administrative efficiency throughout the President’s visit.Describing the President’s presence at the Central Tribal University’s maiden convocation as a matter of immense pride for both Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh, Palla Srinivasa Rao said the event would further enhance the city’s national stature.
