Ukraine's national power grid operator, Ukrenergo, will introduce electricity consumption restrictions across the country on June 30 from 17:00 to 22:00 due to increased demand caused by hot weather.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrenergo announced the measures on Facebook.

"Due to the difficult situation in the power system, electricity consumption restrictions will be introduced in all regions of Ukraine tomorrow, June 30," the company said.

Scheduled rolling blackouts will apply to all categories of consumers from 17:00 to 22:00, affecting between half and one outage group, depending on the region.

Power consumption limits for industry and businesses will also be in effect from 17:00 to 22:00.
