The State government has released another ₹2,000 crore on Monday towards repayment of pending dues of the employees, particularly employees who retired from service.The release follows the assurance given by the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led government to employees that ₹6,000 crore would be released within 100 days for clearing their dues. The government had released ₹2,000 crore last month and Monday's release leaves a balance of ₹2,000 crore in line with the assurance given to employees.Finance secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania released the funds on the instructions of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in keeping with the promise made to the serving and retired staff despite the financial constraints.Officials said that all pending General Provident Fund (GPF) dues of retired employees and Zilla Parishad teachers had been cleared leaving no pending balances in their accounts. In addition, commutation dues of retired employees up to September 2025 were fully settled.All pending bills below ₹10,000 had also been cleared with issue of more than five lakh tokens and payments also being processed.
