The insurance cover would go up to ₹2 crore to ₹3 crore, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said on Monday

Telangana government rolled out an accident insurance scheme for the State government employees including pensioners and those on contract and outsourcing to provide a cover of up to ₹1.25 lakh crore free of cost. Speaking after formally entering into Memorandum of Understanding with 14 banks for payment of premium and facilitating the cover, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said free health cards would also be issued to the employees soon.“The good name the State Government is earning is because of the efforts of the employees,’’ he said. The insurance cover would go up to ₹2 crore to ₹3 crore, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said on Monday. For those who are in the age group of 18-60 years, there would also be a life over of ₹10 lakh, he said. The Scheme would provide social and financial security to benefit about 1.15 crore families in the State, Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister, said. Published on June 25, 2026
