US pop-rock band Maroon 5 are back in Dublin, which is their first time playing in Ireland since 2014. The Los Angeles band, led by frontman Adam Levine, have sold more than 135 million records worldwide over a 30-year career, and have clocked up more than 32 billion combined streams on Spotify, with 12 of their songs garnering more than 1 billion streams each.The band rose to fame in 2002 with the release of their debut album Songs about Jane, featuring bangers such as This Love and Harder to Breath. Gates open at 5pm and the show is expected to start at 6pm. Early customers will be turned away, so don’t plan on queuing before gates open. The concert should wrap up before 11pm. Stage times are not yet available, so keep an eye on social media for updates.Who is playing?Singer-songwriter Jesse Glynne, and pop duo Voilà, are opening for Maroon 5. Parking at the site is extremely limited and must be booked in advance. Do not park illegally in and around the venue, as clamping and towing will be in operation. Travel by bus: Dublin Bus routes H2 and 42 are available from the city centre, while the 102 travels to Malahide from Dublin Airport. The Dublin Bus website has full timetable information.Concert Express is also in operation, with a fleet of return buses travelling from the city centre, Ratoath and Blanchardstown. The service also has stops at Ashbourne, Swords, Corduff and Finglas. A Leap card will not be accepted on the Concert Express, so it’s best to book a return ticket in advance of the show. Private buses and coaches are also offering travel to and from the venue. Marathon Coaches offers return journeys from Blessington, Naas, Enfield, Maynooth, Leixlip, Navan, Drogheda and more.Travel by Dart: Malahide Dart station is a 15-minute walk from the venue, and trains will be running regularly from the city centre. The starting price of tickets is €77.45. Anyone attending should download tickets to their phone in advance to avoid any potential issues with internet connectivity at the site. Screenshots of Ticketmaster tickets will not work. What is security like? Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Strict age monitoring will be in place throughout the night.Security advises you to avoid bringing large bags or backpacks, as you may experience significant delays or be refused entry. There are no storage facilities on the site. Prohibited items include bags larger than A4, signs or flags larger than A3, flag poles, glass, cans, umbrellas, alcohol, e-scooters, e-bikes, disposable vapes, flares or professional recording equipment. Should I bring cash?All bars at Malahide Castle are cashless; they’ll accept credit and debit cards, as well as Google or Apple Pay. Food vendors will be accepting cash as well as card payments. What does the weather look like?Tuesday is set to be another warm and cloudy day with rain forecasted from early morning to late afternoon. According to Met Éireann, highest temperatures will be 16-20 degrees.Malahide Castle is an outdoor, standing venue, so make sure you bring comfortable and water-resistant footwear, and consider a rain jacket or poncho alongside sun cream.
