PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – The remains of an Army corporal killed in an ambush in Lanao del Sur province have been brought to his hometown in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, on Sunday.
Cpl. Jayson Castro, a native of Barangay Diplo, Molave town, and assigned to the 64th Infantry Battalion based in Bayang, Lanao del Sur, was killed last Saturday afternoon in Barangay Lamin, Malabang town, when their vehicle was ambushed by at least 10 still unidentified armed men.
The 32-year-old soldier left behind his wife and a two-year-old daughter.
