The annual Antipodean Palette group art exhibition will return from July 3-12, showcasing the diverse work of artists from the Greek-Australian community.
Now in its 16th year, the exhibition has become a major event on the Greek-Australian Cultural League’s calendar, providing a platform for artists to present and discuss works shaped by their cultural heritage and experiences.
This year’s exhibition features more than 50 works across painting, printmaking, lithography, photography and mixed media. Themes including Greek mythology, Byzantine iconography, migration, memory and place run throughout the collection, with each artist exploring these influences in their own distinctive way.
Among the returning artists are painter Bill Potiris, Basil Psanoudakis, photographer and visual artist Michael Christofas, Doug Vassiliadis, visual artist Leah Modouris, Luke Spiliopoulos and Tony Pierrakos.
The exhibition will also introduce audiences to emerging Greek-Australian artists, including Stella Sorotou, Nicky Skouris, Katerina Konstantinidis, Christina Pallikaris, Andrea Patsouris and Marina Theophilou.
