A shortage of medicines has emerged in the "Luhansk People's Republic" ("LPR"), forcing residents of the occupied areas to seek help from security forces to obtain essential medications.
The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksii Kharchenko, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"A shortage of medicines has existed in the so-called 'LPR' for quite some time now, both in healthcare facilities and pharmacies. The occupiers have significantly reduced supplies of pharmaceuticals to the occupied part of the Luhansk region. It has even become a problem to obtain a standard prescription for free medication," he said.

Kharchenko cited the case of a woman with a disability who had to appeal to the security forces to resolve the issue and received the life-saving medication she needed only after six months.
