Barcelona is making its move for one of Ligue 1’s most electrifying young forwards. The club has opened a line of communication with the camp of PSG’s Bradley Barcola, a 23-year-old winger whose combination of pace, creativity, and goal threat has made him one of the most coveted attackers in European football.
Sporting director Deco has been in touch with Barcola’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, to explore whether a deal is feasible. No formal offer has landed on PSG’s desk yet, but the groundwork is being laid for what could become one of the summer’s marquee transfers.
The price tag problem
PSG has already turned down a bid reported to be in the range of €50 million. PSG values Barcola somewhere between €70 million and €95 million, and even the low end represents a significant outlay for Barcelona.
Barcola’s contract runs through 2028, which gives PSG substantial leverage. But extension talks between Barcola and PSG have stalled, which has opened a window for potential suitors.
