The Katsina State Police Command has dismantled a seven-man armed robbery syndicate allegedly responsible for attacking a residence in Katsina metropolis and carting away motorcycles, mobile phones and other valuables.
The command said the suspects were arrested following an intelligence-led investigation into a robbery that occurred on June 19, 2026, at about 2 a.m. in Unwala Quarters, Katsina.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, the victim, identified simply as Surajo, reported that armed robbers wielding cutlasses and clubs broke into his family house and stole two UD motorcycles, seven mobile phones and two power banks.
Aliyu said police operatives swiftly launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of seven suspects identified as Sulaiman Sabo, alias Labule; Muhammad Aminu, 20; Muhammad Yahaya; Muhammad Daddy, 20; Aliyu Kabir; Musa Kabir, 20; and Ahmad Usman, 23.
