Katsina State Police Command has arrested six suspected members of a seven-man kidnapping syndicate allegedly responsible for the abduction of an eight-year-old boy in Katsina metropolis.
The police also recovered N7.5m believed to be part of the ransom paid by the victim’s family.
The spokesperson for the command, Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
According to him, the suspects were arrested by operatives of the command’s Violent Crime Response Unit, while one suspect identified simply as Abdul remains at large.
