The number of people injured in a Russian guided aerial bomb strike on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 14, with one person confirmed dead. One more person may still be trapped under the rubble.
The State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine reported the update via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"On June 28, Russian forces carried out air strikes on one of the districts of the regional center. As a result of the impact, one person was killed. Two children, eight women, and four men were injured and are receiving all necessary assistance. Emergency responders rescued a woman and a child from under the rubble," the statement said.
Authorities said that, according to preliminary information, another person may still be trapped under the debris. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The attack partially destroyed residential buildings and damaged nearby houses, though no further fires were reported in the residential area.
