Emergency crews are continuing to deal with the aftermath of a Russian guided aerial bomb strike on Zaporizhzhia. One person has been confirmed dead, several people remain missing, while the number of injured has risen to eight.
Fedir Maier, Head of the Shevchenkivskyi District Administration of Zaporizhzhia, provided an update from the scene, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"So far, we know of two guided bomb strikes. One hit a residential area with apartment buildings, shattering windows in two buildings. The second struck the private housing sector. Three private homes were completely destroyed, and more than 20 others were damaged, many of them severely. Damage assessments are ongoing," he said.
According to Maier, one person has been confirmed killed. Two children are among the injured, and several people are still reported missing.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov later said the number of injured had increased to eight.
