ALBAWABA - Iran launched missile attacks targeting U.S. bases in Bahrain and Kuwait on Saturday night, local media confirmed, adding that this came in response to American airstrikes on Tehran.Bahrain's Defense Ministry announced in a statement on Sunday that the country's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial attacks.It continued, "All weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and are on high alert to protect the Kingdom as Iran continues its systematic aggression through its heinous missile and drone attacks targeting civilians in Bahrain.""The deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law," according to the Bahrain ministry.Additionally, Kuwait also condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the repeated "heinous Iranian attacks, the latest of which occurred at dawn today, in flagrant violation of its sovereignty, a direct threat to its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, and a clear breach of the rules of international law."For a second day in a row, the U.S. carried out strikes on Iran, justifying it as a response to an earlier attack against a commercial vessel as a motivation.
