MultiChoice, a CANAL+ company, is expanding its telenovela offering with the launch of Novelas+, a dedicated channel bringing some of the world’s most popular soap operas to DStv and GOtv subscribers in Nigeria.
Launching on July 1 in English and Portuguese, the channel will showcase productions from Latin America, Turkey, the United States and Portugal, offering viewers a daily lineup of romance, family drama, revenge and intrigue.
Leading the launch slate is the acclaimed Brazilian hit ‘Avenida Brasil,’ starring Débora Falabella as a young woman seeking revenge after being abandoned as a child, with Adriana Esteves playing one of television’s most memorable villains.
Also premiering is the Turkish romantic comedy Be My Sunshine, featuring Ayça Ayin Turan and Alp Navruz, while Mexican actress Angelique Boyer headlines the 2025 remake of the classic Doménica Montero. Turkish drama fans can also look forward to Sin and Roses, starring Murat Yıldırım and Cemre Baysel in a story of betrayal, secrets and shattered lives.
The channel will air four telenovelas every weekday, with fresh episodes from Monday to Friday, promising viewers a steady stream of emotionally charged stories centred on love, passion, rivalry and revenge.
