MANILA, Philippines — Three Filipino archbishops are set to seal their appointments by receiving the pallium (vestment) from Pope Leo XIV at St. Peter’s Basilica on June 29.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) made the announcement.
Annually, newly appointed metropolitan archbishops travel to the Vatican to receive the pallium, a white vestment symbolizing their authority and communion with the pontiff.
