The number of people injured in Saturday morning's Russian attack on the Sumy community has risen to 18.

According to Ukrinform, Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov announced the updated casualty toll on Facebook.

According to revised information, Russian forces attacked the community with three high-speed jet-powered drones. Due to their high flight speed, such UAVs are significantly more difficult to detect and intercept.

Damage was recorded at seven locations. Apartment buildings, private homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities sustained damage.

The most seriously injured victim is a 47-year-old woman who was wounded in a strike near an apartment building. She remains under medical supervision. Two children and two adults are also hospitalized. The remaining injured people received medical assistance at the scene or were discharged after examination.
