The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ike Neliaku, has urged newly inducted members of the institute not to join those portraying Nigeria negatively but to become ambassadors of hope, patriotism and responsible communication.
Speaking on Friday during the induction of 415 new members in Abuja, Neliaku said public relations practitioners have a duty to build trust, strengthen national unity and promote ethical communication.
He said rather than spreading narratives that undermine the country, communication professionals should project a more positive image of Nigeria.
