The group, however, expressed concerns over what it described as attempts to politicise the incident, alleging that the state government was not focusing on the need for a thorough investigation into the killing.

The Osun State government has been accused of politicising the killing of an alleged cult leader in Esa-Oke community.

A youth advocacy group, One-Forest Youth Initiative, made the allegation on Thursday in Abuja through its National Coordinator, Comrade Mustapha Abdulrahman, while addressing journalists on the circumstances surrounding the death of Ajayi Busuyi Aderogba, popularly known as “Rogba.”

Abdulrahman described the deceased as a prominent figure allegedly linked to cult-related activities in Esa-Oke and surrounding communities, claiming he had been previously involved in violent cult clashes and had faced arrest and prosecution over related offences.

The group, however, expressed concerns over what it described as attempts to politicise the incident, alleging that the state government was not focusing on the need for a thorough investigation into the killing.
