Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has announced that he is relinquishing all of his current championship belts, but is not retiring from professional boxing.
He shared the statement on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
“Today is a good day to say that I want to vacate all the belts I currently hold. I want to make them available so the guys are next in line can fight for them,” he said.
The boxer emphasized that he is leaving the belts but not the sport, noting that he still has a “last dance.”
Usyk stressed that he respects all boxing organizations.
