Suspected bandits have killed three local vigilantes and several other residents during a deadly attack on Jargaba community in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting an unspecified number of people and rustling a large number of livestock.

SaharaReporters gathered that the attack occurred on Thursday at about 3:00 p.m. when heavily armed assailants invaded the rural community, shooting indiscriminately and forcing residents to flee.

A security intelligence source, Bakatsine, confirmed the incident on Friday, identifying the slain vigilantes as Tukur Jarma, Hassan and Labaran.
