Bandits Kill Seven Vigilantes, Including Two CJTF Members, During Gun Battle In Katsina

It was gathered that the heavily armed assailants stormed the community on Sunday evening but met fierce resistance from vigilante groups and CJTF personnel, forcing them to retreat after an intense exchange of gunfire.

Suspected bandits on Sunday evening launched an attack on Ketare town in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing at least seven local defenders, including two members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), despite being repelled by security volunteers after a prolonged gun battle.

However, the victory came at a heavy cost as seven local defenders reportedly lost their lives while protecting the community from the attackers.
