Marcus Rashford has drawn a line in the sand. The 28-year-old Manchester United forward does not want to transfer to another Premier League club, and that includes Tottenham Hotspur, who have been monitoring his situation this summer.
He wants out of England entirely, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich reportedly topping his shortlist of preferred destinations.
The money and the mechanics
Manchester United have agreed to a £40 million release clause in his contract. Tottenham are reportedly not willing to meet it.
Rashford’s salary is set to rise to £325,000 per week — roughly £17 million a year.
