The Jigawa Police Command has disclosed that it is determined to put an end to cross-border crimes.

To achieve its target, the Jigawa Police say it is engaging with the state’s stakeholders, just as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sulaiman Mohammed Abdul, met with officers and community leaders during a two-day operational tour to strengthen security across the state.

Arewa PUNCH gathered that the DIG’s strategic operational visit was to strengthen intelligence gathering, deepen community policing, and reinforce proactive security measures to secure lives and property across Jigawa state as 2027 general elections draw nearer and political activities begin to intensify.

Speaking at the Jigawa State Police Command on Thursday during the first day of his visit, the DIG in charge of Finance and Administration and Supervising DIG for North-West, Sulaiman Mohammed Abdul said, the Nigeria Police Force is working to strengthen public confidence, deepen community partnership and reinforce proactive security measures across the country.
