The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has re-elected current president Delphine Ernotte Cunci, who is CEO of France Télévisions, for another two-year term. Vice president Cilla Benkö, director general of Swedish Radio, has also been re-elected to her post.

Additionally, three new members were elected to the EBU’s executive board: the U.K.’s Rhodri Talfan Davies (BBC), Greece’s Yannis Papadopoulos (ERT) and Switzerland’s Susanne Wille (SRG SSR). They will serve on the 11-member board until the end of 2026, when the next election for board members will take place at the EBU General Assembly.

The EBU is a Europe-focused alliance of public service media organizations. It also runs the Eurovision Song Contest each year.

Ernotte Cunci has been CEO of France Télévisions since 2015 and has served as president of the EBU since 2020.

“I would like to thank the members very much for their renewed trust,” she said in a statement. “I am honoured to take on this mandate as president of the EBU at a time when PSM [public service media] is under attack, and our union and solidarity are even more valuable to each of us.”
