If you’re in the mood for a seriously intense thriller, “Last Breath” should be at the top of your watchlist. It’s actually based on an incredible true story and functions as a claustrophobic chamber piece, tracking a desperate, real-time rescue mission unfolding hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. The film is inspired by seemingly impossible events that took place in the freezing darkness of the North Sea in September 2012.“Last Breath” follows a team of saturation divers working on pipelines deep beneath the North Sea. During a routine repair mission, a technical failure causes their support vessel to drift off course, leaving diver Chris Lemons (Finn Cole) stranded on the seabed hundreds of feet below the surface. Cut off from his oxygen supply and communication systems, Chris faces impossible odds as his crewmates and the ship's crew race against time to bring him home.Watch "Last Breath" on Prime Video until June 25‘Sinners’ (2025)
