Maritime Affairs and Island Policy Minister Vasilis Kikilias, took part on Tuesday in Rome at the international forum “Shaping the Shipping of Future Summit 2026,” focused on the green transition and sustainable practices in shipping.
On the sidelines of the summit, Kikilias met Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini to discuss a range of issues of mutual interest.
Kikilias said that all major global shipping players were present in Rome and highlighted two key shared priorities with the Italian government, linking both economic and social dimensions: the competitiveness of shipping and port infrastructure, and the broader role of maritime trade.
