A bill allowing optometrists in Vermont to perform certain laser procedures, injections and surgical procedures has been signed into law. Vermont is now the 17th state to include laser surgery in optometrists’ scope of practice, following the addition of Tennessee in April. The bill was signed into law by Gov. Phil Scott on June 18 and takes effect in July 2028, according to a press release from
