Dr Kelly Fredericks' funeral will take place this Friday in Sydenham
The University of KwaZulu-Natal's College of Health Sciences has paid a touching tribute to Dr Kelly Fredericks. Fredericks died in Sydenham on Thursday, June 18.
In the post, shared on Facebook, the Department of Family Medicine described Fredericks as a rare individual.
"Kelly was one of those rare individuals whose competence was matched only by her kindness. She inspired those around her through her optimism, dedication, and genuine care for others.
"We were privileged to witness her growth from registrar to family physician, educator, and mentor. She represented the very best of Family Medicine, and her loss leaves an immeasurable void in our profession and in my own life.
