Tu-160 strategic nuclear-capable bombers of Russia’s Aerospace Forces conducted a 16-hour test flight in a neutral zone over the Barents and Norwegian Seas.

According to Ukrinform, Reuters reported this, citing a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that during the flight, the Russian nuclear-capable aircraft practiced in-flight refueling.

The flight, which the Russian ministry described as routine, was escorted by Russian MiG-31 fighters, as well as fighters from other countries along certain sections of the route.

However, the report published Tuesday morning did not specify which countries provided escort for the Russian missile-carrying aircraft.
