Leader of ActionSA Herman Mashaba accuses the DA of refusing to account for R500,000 donated to establish an education trust for the family of Japie Vilankulu .
ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba has accused the DA of failing to account for a R500,000 education fund he allegedly donated for the family of Japie Vilankulu in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
Mashaba said the money was donated in 2016 after the DA promised to establish an education trust in the name of Vilankulu. However, the funds vanished without any benefit to the family.
This was after the party on June 17, 2016, committed to launching an educational trust for the family to preserve the legacy of Vilankulu.
The initiative was presented as a mechanism to support the long-term development of the family and preserve the legacy of young South Africans who paid the ultimate price for the country’s freedom.
