MANILA, Philippines — Following a fatal shooting at a high school in Tacloban City, Sen. Loren Legarda on Monday called for intensified efforts to address youth challenges, including violence, mental health, and access to firearms.

In a statement, Legarda expressed her condolences to the families of the three individuals who were killed after two Grade 9 students, aged 14 and 15, opened fire in at least two rooms at San Jose National High School in Tacloban.
